When Hannah shared her vision for her senior portraits, she was pretty clear about what she wanted–fall colors, barns and something unique among her classmates. I’d say we did a great job of checking off her wishlist. Last month, we headed out to Snead’s Asparagus Farm, which also operates a pumpkin patch and a Christmas tree farm, to find that rustic feel we were seeking. Not only were we able to use the barns, but the sunflower fields, pumpkin patch and fruit trees made for great photo spots. We also hunted down some fall color, and did I mention there were chickens? We had a great time wandering around the farm, stopping for photos along the way and the pictures turned out gorgeous, a few of which are included in this post. Hannah rocked her session. I have to admit, I really geeked out about the light that was streaming through these trees. It was perfect!
Sometimes you tell your senior to pretend she’s walking through a tropical rainforest like on the Herbal Essences commercials.

I am literally Googling Fredericksburg but cannot figure out whether this is Virginia or Texas… At first glance, the locations look oh-so-familiar that I thought we could be from the same area (I’m down in Tennessee)!

Virginia, but yes there is a Fredericksburg, Texas. I used to work in the tourism industry and we would sometimes get calls for the wrong one.
